Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Clerk
Rail City Garden Center is a beloved locally owned and operated nursery located in Sparks, Nevada. Position Overview:
Rail City Garden Center is currently seeking an individual experienced in bookkeeping and/or accounts payable to join our small team. In this role, you will assist in a variety of accounting and administrative tasks while frequently communicating with the Office Manager and Owner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoices and payments
- Assist with month-end close procedures
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivables
- Provide general administrative support and other duties as needed
Qualifications / Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting clerk role or other relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Previous accounts payable experience preferred
Job Type: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)

Must possess a positive attitude with a pleasant demeanor, be punctual and self-starting and be a multi-tasker. The ideal candidate should have some experience in customer service, cash handling, pos, answering phones, etc. Plant knowledge is helpful. Able to lift up to 25lbs. Please apply in person. Landscape
We have immediate openings for motivated and reliable individuals at all experience levels. Ideal candidates are adaptable, capable of multitasking, and able to transition between tasks efficiently. These positions are Monday through Friday.
Employment Description
Experience in irrigation and all aspects of snow removal is required. A valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year DMV record is required for all driving positions and must be provided at the time of application. Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
